Major Duties

NTAC:3NS-20

Manages IaaS infrastructure that Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker and Kubernetes is deployed to, or co-ordinates with the team that does
Installs, configures and supports the production Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker and Kubernetes platforms
Performs capacity, availability, issue, problem, change management processes for Pivotal Cloud Foundry
Scales Pivotal Cloud Foundry, forecasting / adding / removing IaaS + physical capacity as required. Same for Docker and Kubernetes
Upgrades Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker and Kubernetes
Ensures management and monitoring tools are integrated with Pivotal Cloud Foundry and have rules / alerts for routine and exceptional operations conditions. Same for Docker and Kubernetes
Support evolution of security capabilities, API gateway utilization, and general best practices around open source technologies and tools being leveraged by development community.
Configures, implements and supports Northern Trusts Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment environment and pipelines, using the Atlassian product set and others (Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Confluence, Concourse, CA Release Automation etc.)
Guide and lead team members

Strong Communication Skills
General computer science principles
Prior experiencing leading a team

Required Skills:

Cloud Computing
Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment practices and tools including GitHub, Maven or Gradle build script development, Bamboo
Agile software development practices & JIRA
Basic understanding and knowledge of
o Application development lifecycle
o Web applications and web application architecture
o Open source technologies and tools
o CI /CD Concepts, experience with Atlassian products is a plus
o Restful APIs
o Java Sprint Framework.

Education:

UG:   Any Graduate - Any Specialization

PG:  Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization

Doctorate:  Doctorate Not Required
