Position: Automation Test Engineer
Experience: 5 - 7 Years
Location: Bangalore
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and Automation Testing to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks, along with excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java + Selenium WebDriver.
- Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and backend applications.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing using automation.
- Ensure continuous integration (CI/CD) by integrating automation scripts with tools like Jenkins / GitLab CI.
- Debug and troubleshoot test failures and report defects with detailed analysis.
- Enhance automation processes and adopt best practices to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest automation tools, frameworks, and industry trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 58 years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing.
- Strong expertise in Java programming.
- Proven experience in Selenium WebDriver for web automation.
- Experience with TestNG / JUnit frameworks.
- Good knowledge of API automation (RestAssured / Postman).
- Hands-on experience with version control tools (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter).
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
