Urgent requirement For phlebotomy - Chennai @ Medall Healthcare

Job Description

• Responsible for COVID sample collection
• Understand the prescription and ensure that the prescription is from the hospital with appropriate signature of the doctor.
• Bill the customer without any error using uwin and scan the prescription
• Identify the correct tubes, stick barcodes and emergency sticker, if required
• Update sample collect in attune
• Dispose the waste in the appropriate dust bins for segregation
• Check the temperature in ice box and Hand over the sample to the ILD
• To ensure hygiene collection of samples.
• To ensure timely dispatch of samples to respective labs.
• To ensure proper waste segregation as per norms.
• Is responsible to ensure that phlebotomist follows all the sample collection protocols and other laboratory activities.
• Inform about any emergency samples to ILD
• Write in the register - patient info and test info
• Print the reports, issue reports to customer and follow up of pending reports with the lab
• Track inventory - test tubes and other consumables in a register. Identify any expired or damaged inventory and avoid using them. Inform the operations executive / inventory executive for replacement
• Request for stock at appropriate time and avoid stock outs
• Co-ordinate with doctors and staff nurse, register complaints if any and resolve with the support of lab
• Basic trouble shooting of application and hardware (printer)
• Know the contact points for escalation and resolution
