The Corporate IT Function at GILAC serves as a pivotal hub for technological advancement within the Godrej Group. It functions as a strategic partner, adeptly integrating technology with core business objectives to drive innovation and efficiency. Its core objective is to architect proactive technological solutions that align with and enhance our overarching business strategies.
The Corporate IT team boasts a proven track record in managing GIG wide Global IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, overseeing enterprise data centers, Cloud Infrastructure, implementing robust Disaster Recovery protocols, establishing an expansive Global Network Infrastructure, vigilant Security Operations Center management, and delivering efficient End User Support. Their expertise extends to orchestrating IT Service Operations with precision and efficiency. Beyond day-to-day operations, this team plays a pivotal role in formulating and implementing Group policies, refining processes, and setting guiding principles. As custodians of Core IT Infrastructure, they ensure robust Cybersecurity defenses, manage the Network, facilitate End User Operations, and drive the strategic development of our Cloud Infrastructure.

Cloud computing continues to allow us to modernize and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation. To continue this transformation, were seeking an experienced cloud engineer with expertise in the daily operation, strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, experience managing workloads, and advanced industry knowledge is key to keeping us on the cutting edge. From day one, youll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Public Cloud. You will partner with business IT teams to manage daily operations and execute projects and provide support. You need to develop strong business relationships, provide excellent customer services, and communicate appropriately across multiple levels within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Infrastructure & Cloud Management (IaaS & PaaS)
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNet), and Storage Accounts.
- Implement and manage Azure PaaS services like Azure App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, and API Management.
- Ensure hybrid cloud integration with on-premises systems using Azure ExpressRoute, VPN.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity plans with Azure Backup & Site Recovery (ASR).
- Configure Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, and Azure SQL/Cosmos DB for cloud-native applications.
2. Cloud Security & Compliance
- Apply Azure Security Center, and RBAC policies to secure cloud resources.
- Implement Zero Trust security principles and integrate Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and Conditional Access.
- Network Security: Deploy and manage NSGs, ASGs, DDoS Protection, Private Link, and Azure Firewall to secure cloud networks.
- Work with the Cloud Architect and IT Security teams to ensure compliance with corporate security policies.
3. Automation & DevOps
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
- Automate deployments and monitoring with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and PowerShell scripts.
- Optimize cloud costs by implementing auto-scaling, reserved instances, and governance policies.
4. Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- Set up Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track system performance.
- Troubleshoot and optimize workloads to ensure high availability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Provide technical support for cloud-related issues across multiple business units.

Who are we looking for?
Key Skills (Must Have)
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, Storage, Networking) and PaaS (App Services, Functions, API Management).
- Experience with Hybrid Cloud integration, VNet Peering, and ExpressRoute.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and automation tools.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments (AKS, Docker, ACR).
- Solid understanding of cloud security, identity management (Azure AD, RBAC), and compliance frameworks.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and SIEM tools is a plus.
Education
- A bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Infrastruture support with progressive experience as Cloud Engineer.
