Job Description
Key Skills: Mainframe, Mainframe Cobol VSAM JCL DB2, CICS
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Participate in Agile development processes and project management activities
- Utilize Advanced SQL and DB2 for database management and data analytics
- Provide support for CICS and other mainframe technologies as needed
- Engage in continuous learning and improvement of mainframe technologies
Skills Required:
- Strong hands-on experience in Mainframe application development and maintenance
- Good knowledge of COBOL, VSAM, JCL, and DB2 (nice-to-have)
- Experience working with CICS for online transaction processing (nice-to-have)
- Proficiency in Advanced SQL for database querying and optimization (nice-to-have)
- Exposure to Oracle databases and data analytics tools or processes (nice-to-have)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in mainframe systems
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaborative environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for debugging and system optimization
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
