Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Technical Analyst to join our Equity Research
team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting technical analysis of equities
and indices, generating actionable trade ideas, identifying market trends, and producing
timely reports and recommendations to assist internal stakeholders and clients in making
informed investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth technical analysis of equity markets (NSE/BSE), indices, sectors,
and stocks using price action, chart patterns, indicators, oscillators, and volume-based
studies.
- Develop and update short-term, medium-term, and long-term market outlooks based
on technical trends.
- Generate intraday, positional, and swing trade ideas backed by robust technical
rationale.
- Collaborate with fundamental analysts to provide a holistic view of the stocks under
coverage.
- Prepare daily/weekly technical reports and presentations for internal use and for
clients.
- Monitor global indices, commodities, and currency movements to assess their impact
on domestic markets.
- Stay updated with market news, economic indicators, and technical triggers.
- Use technical software/tools like Trading View, Meta Stock, Bloomberg, Reuters, or
similar platforms.
Key Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Certifications in Technical Analysis (such as CMT, NISM Technical Analysis
modules) preferred.
Experience:
- 25 years of relevant experience in technical analysis or equity research in a broking
house, fund house, or financial advisory firm.
Skills:
Strong understanding of charting techniques, candlestick patterns, support/resistance,
trend analysis, and indicators like RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci
retracements, etc.
Proficient in using technical charting platforms.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical views
effectively.
Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced market conditions.
