DB Administrator @ Amdocs

The DB administrator is handling physical and applicative database administration activities supporting end 2 end life cycle of product from database perspective

1. A Database Administrator is an IT professional responsible for any technological duties associated with various enterprise database products & Open Source databases, including design, planning, management, maintenance and support.
2. Database Administrator with at least 2-5 years experience in managing various DB products -- including Oracle, MS SQL DB & open source DB like mySQL, REDIS, postgre & others, DB installation & configuration, DB upgrade & maintenance, SQL scripting and virtualization technologies. Additionally, DB administrators must have a background in security management, user management, performance tuning, optimizaion, backup & recovery, data migration & DB clustering.
3. Ability to follow procedures in a tightly run Change Control system and communicate to peers and upper management. This position has high visiblility and requires a professional demeanor.
4. The team supports 24x7 production and working shifts and a weekend day is required.
5. Any DB Administration certification is a plus
6. Any Linux, Windows or Openshift/K8 Certified Engineer is a plus.

Experience with at least on the following DB products : Oracle, MS SQL, mySQL, REDIS, postgre & Sybase ASE - Must
Experience managing DBs in physical & virtual servers running on Linux / Unix & Windows OS
Experience in the following DevOps tools: OpenShift Kubernetes, Docker. - Must
Development experience in following languages Terraform - Must
Experience with DevOps Tools like GitOps, GitHub or GItlab - Must
Experience with Ansible or other configuration management systems (Puppet). - Advantage
Deep DB administration skills (Oracle Oracle Exadata MS SQL mySQL REDIS postgre Sybase ASE ) - Must
Experience with IaaS & PaaS Platforms - (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
Hands on experience in high scale production environments.
Experience in troubleshooting problems and working with a team to resolve large scale issues. Must
Excellent communication skills.
