Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive Cloud Network Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining cloud and container-based networking solutions. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in networking concepts and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure, or GCP) and Kubernetes/container networking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud network architectures (VPCs, subnets, security groups, routing, etc.).
- Configure and troubleshoot container networking (Kubernetes CNI, service mesh, ingress/egress policies).
- Administer virtual firewalls, load balancers, NAT gateways, VPNs, and cloud-based DNS.
- Ensure secure and scalable connectivity across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to implement network policies and segmentation.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration baselines.
- Assist in incident response and troubleshooting related to cloud network issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud networking (AWS or Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnets, routing, firewalls, NAT, VPNs, DNS.
- Experience with Kubernetes networking concepts, including CNI plugins (e.g., Calico, Cilium).
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., traceroute, tcpdump, Wireshark).
- Good understanding of cloud-native security principles and access control.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate-level cloud certifications (AWS preferred)
- Networking certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+.
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) to automate networking tasks.
