The role is for production support Lead Engineer who will be working on applications built on Contact Center Technologies (CCT) supported by IIS, Apache, Tomcat app/ web servers and Genesys Suite of applications. The role requires in- depth understanding on applications/ middleware technologies used by Personal Investing business reps for customer driver communication.
The Purpose of This Role
The NGCC Ops Support team s key role is the stability and availability of applications built on Contact Center Technologies, used by the associates servicing Personal Investing customers. The team has thorough knowledge on app server/ web server technologies, Integration & Deployment technologies, Monitoring tools and Scripting & Automation technologies.

This role requires any or all the following support functions: incident management, change management, application and environment configuration, application deployment, operational stability and availability of the applications, develop automated frameworks to provide enhanced support, problem resolution, and project management. Some support activities and implementations will be after hours or on the weekends as needed. The successful candidate will also participate in the teams' on- call rotation providing off hours support
The applications are critical to Fidelity s Personal Investing day- today transaction processing. AWS Cloud and
Genesys Suite of applications
are supported by middleware technologies like ISS, Tomcat, Apache, GIT/ Stash, Jenkins, Ansible, uDeploy, Power Shell, Shell Scripting, Python in Windows and Linux Environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide daily operational support for Suite of applications that PI Application Management Engineering team manage
Provide CI- CD services for all the applications hosted in Windows 2012 and Linux
Respond to user inquiries regarding application- related issues.
Develop/ Provide automated continuous monitoring capability for the supported applications.
Participate in small to large initiatives ranging from application incident resolution work to project related tasks.
Document operational procedures and share knowledge with the rest of the Operations team and other teams.

Hands- on experience on automation efforts.
Operating Systems: Linux/ Windows
App/ Web server: IIS, Tomcat, Apache
DevOps/ Container Technologies: AWS Cloud, Jenkins, Stash/ BitBucket/ jFrog, ANSIBLE, uDeploy, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes
Scripting: Shell Scripting, Python and PowerShell
Monitoring/ Testing Tools: Splunk, ELK, SoapUI, DataDog
Networking Skills: Basic networking skills, Network log analysis, LTM, GTM ( F5, Wireshark
Focus on improvements in Automations, Logging and Monitoring.
DevOps implementation knowledge in Cloud would be an added advantage.
Knowledge on Genesys Suite of Applications would be an added advantage.
Establish plan for continuous improvement regarding stability and availability.
Metrics and reporting around various areas including, but not limited to, application performance & monitoring, incident and problem management, etc.
Site Scope, Splunk, Dynatrace and any other Automations for monitoring.
Proven analytical and problem- solving skills.
Must be capable of learning complex processes quickly and ability to acquire knowledge through self- learning.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
The applicant should demonstrate effective communication skills; both written and verbal.
Ability to learn and work quickly to meet business deadlines.
The Skills that are Good to Have for this role
Ability to triage/ follow up on incidents until the root cause is determined.
CI- CD implementation on AWS Cloud.
Ability to setup end- to- end monitoring including synthetic monitoring.
Ability to assume Crisis Manager role during high impact issues.
How Your Work Impacts the Organization
This position is a part of the 12 x 7 PI Application Management Engineering Support Team within the Production Services Group. The team member will be engaged in ensuring the operational stability of the applications used by PI Call center Reps. This team member will participate in system monitoring, installing fixes, incident troubleshooting and resolution, problem management, and ensuring operational standards adherence.
The Expertise We re Looking For
5+ years of computer operations or systems engineering experience Tomcat, Apache in Linux/ Windows
Strong knowledge of scripting and automation practices and solutions.
Knowledge on CI/ CD pipeline Automation.
Patching automation.
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience required
Experience managing environment stability and availability
Production support experience with financial systems a plus
Demonstrated understanding of network topology and services, such as GTM and LTM
Familiar with ITIL IM, CM and PM practices
Understanding on with PaaS, SaaS, ALMaaS a plus
Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) a plus
Excellent oral and written communication
Experience with Dev Ops and Cloud based technology is a plus
Production support experience in financial services sector a plus
Shift timings : The team works on 16 7 support. The associate will be on rotation in 3 different shifts(6 AM 3PM, 11 AM 8 PM, 2 PM 11 PM)
