Role & responsibilities


Job Title: SAP ABAP HR Consultant / Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP HR Consultant/Developer to design, develop, and implement custom solutions within the SAP HCM (Human Capital Management) module. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in ABAP programming, particularly in HR-specific areas such as PA (Personnel Administration), OM (Organizational Management), Time Management, and Payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development & Customization:
  • Design and develop custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows using ABAP in the SAP HR module.
  • Work on HR-specific infotypes, logical databases (PNP, PCH), and cluster data (e.g., Payroll, Time Evaluation).
  • Implement user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, and enhancement points for HR processes.
  • Integration:
  • Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP HR and third-party systems (e.g., payroll providers, attendance systems).
  • Work with ALE/IDoc, RFC, and Web Services for data exchange.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in SAP ABAP HR development.
  • Proficiency in HR Logical Databases (PNP, PNPCE, PCH).
  • Experience with Infotype enhancements, PA/OM data models, and Payroll/Time clusters.
  • Knowledge of SAP Scripts, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and ALV Reports.
  • Familiarity with SuccessFactors integration is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

A well-rounded SAP ABAP HR profile includes:

  • Core ABAP HR skills (infotypes, logical databases, cluster data)
  • Enhancements (BADIs, User Exits)
  • Forms (SmartForms, Adobe)
  • Workflow knowledge (even basic understanding) to collaborate effectively with functional teams.

Must Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of SAP S4 Hana & CDS Views.
  • Basic Knowledge of SAP ABAP Workflow.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP HR Modules including PA (Personnel Administration), OM (Organizational Management), PT (Personnel Time Management) & PY (Payroll).
  • Ability to integrate SAP HR with other SAP Modules using ABAP Programming
