Job Description
Step into a leadership role where technology meets innovation. As an Assistant Vice President Lead Engineer, youll own the engineering roadmap, drive modern solutions, and deliver game-changing platforms that power global investments.
LOCATION: Pune- Hybrid
What Youll Do
- Lead engineering strategy and oversee end-to-end solution design
- Drive automation, continuous improvement, and platform health
- Architect scalable solutions on Azure Cloud using modern frameworks
- Mentor a high-performing squad and foster technical excellence
- Collaborate across business, technology partners, and engineering leaders
What Were Looking For
- 14+ years in software engineering (with strong cloud & DevOps experience)
- Expertise in Azure, CI/CD, REST APIs, Microservices, C#, Java, Python
- Strong knowledge of data platforms, API management, and Agile delivery
- Leadership mindset with a passion for solving complex business problems
- Advanced software engineering skills paired with expertise in some of the following programming languages: C#, Java, Python, Javascript, HTML/CSS or equivalent
- Demonstrates Architectural Excellence by developing solutions using the guiding tenets of Azure Well-Architected Framework covering reliability, security, cost optimisation, operational excellence and performance efficiency
- Has good Azure experience on PaaS services such as App Service, Function App, Logic App, Data Factory, Service Bus and Key Vault
- Understands Azure AD, Service Principals and Managed Identities to configure role based access for web application
- Relevant experience developing back or frontend solutions (e.g. On Azure Cloud, Angular, React, Node.js software frameworks)
Bonus: Exposure to financial markets & asset management
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
- Owning the engineering roadmap for their squad, driving continuous improvement - ways of working, leveraging emerging technologies, driving automation, platform health etc
- Deliver business prioritised changes
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the technology, and domain knowledge
- Acting as technical lead and overseeing the quality of engineering for their squad.
