Job Description
- As a Layout Integration Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in the Customer Order Projects, focusing on Layout Integration Engineering for LGT auxiliary packages. Your responsibilities will include detail design using tools like Open Plant for Plant Layout of multiple Gas turbine (GT) frames. Your work will be centered in Gurgaon (IND) with a primary focus on Customer Order Engineering while also providing support for R&D and site operations as required. Your key responsibilities will involve representing layout concepts for GT packages, coordinating with various disciplines within Siemens Energy, reviewing detailed designs of equipment and skids, preparing basic designs and procurement drawings, ensuring compliance with design standards, planning and modeling equipment using 3D tools, working collaboratively in global project teams, and providing field/site support when necessary. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, possess 7 to 12 years of engineering work experience with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role, be willing to travel globally, demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, have a high level of flexibility in undertaking new tasks, exhibit strong communication abilities, show dedication and ownership towards the product, have a solid entrepreneurial mindset, understand the interplay of quality, costs, and delivery time, be proficient in English, show interest in driving activities forward, have a good grasp of technical relationships, and ideally have expertise in power generation business or plant engineering. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in modeling tools like Open Plant, knowledge of escape routes, fire protection, and hazardous area requirements, expertise in project engineering management, and a proactive approach to tracking deliverables.
