Job Description

Locus is seeking a PreSales Manager who will be responsible for the 3 major fronts of enterprise engagements: Solution Design, Project Management Engagement Growth and will be working very closely as an extension of the product team to drive strategic transformations for large enterprise businesses and building operational and technical solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Presales Activities: Oversee and manage the presales process, ensuring alignment between sales and technical teams to deliver compelling solutions to clients.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the presales phase, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate and persuasive proposals, RFP responses, and presentations.
  • Technical Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and capabilities of our solutions.
  • Solution Design: Work with the technical team to design solutions that meet client requirements while adhering to company standards and best practices.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and enhance solution offerings.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior presales team members, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor presales performance metrics and KPIs, reporting on results and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration with Sales: Partner with the sales team to strategize on account approaches, identify opportunities, and develop effective closing strategies.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather client feedback post-engagement to continuously improve presales processes and offerings.

Qualifications:
  • 3 - 5 years of enterprise experience in client facing roles such as Customer Success, Account Management or Business Development.
  • Supply Chain or Logistics background is essential with some exposure to technology
  • Experience working with decision-makers, product champions, and end users at both growing start-ups and large enterprises
  • Experience in working with complex, multi-divisional, multi-geographical clients
  • Strong leadership skills and impressive executive presence
  • Ability to create structure in ambiguous situations and design effective processes
  • Passion for technology and for being a part of a fast-growing SaaS company
  • Ability to multitask and experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Product, Marketing, Services)
  • Consistent performer who handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Empathy with a knack for understanding what a customer really needs and why they need it
  • Bachelors degree required.
