Job Description

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer Intern at EOXS, you will play a vital role in designing and improving the architecture of our ERP solutions for the steel industry. You will collaborate with our engineering team to apply software engineering principles to ensure scalability, security, and performance, while gaining hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

System Design & Architecture

  • Assist in designing scalable, maintainable, and secure system architectures for ERP modules.
  • Contribute to code reviews and enforce engineering best practices across the team.

Software Engineering & Development

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to software engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate engineering best practices into coding and deployment.

Optimization & Scalability

  • Work on optimizing system performance, database queries, and load handling.
  • Contribute to the design of APIs and integrations ensuring robustness and reliability.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Support in writing unit tests, integration tests, and conducting code-level validations.
  • Assist in implementing automated testing frameworks to ensure long-term system stability.

Documentation & Standards

  • Document architectural decisions, workflows, and technical specifications.
  • Help maintain coding standards, design guidelines, and engineering documentation.

Ideal Candidate Qualities

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL), distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
  • Analytical mindset with a structured approach to solving complex problems.
  • Eagerness to learn about scalability, security, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about applying engineering principles to real-world challenges.
  • Willingness to work from 3 PM 1 AM IST, 5 days a week.
