Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Oversee and manage civil engineering projects from planning to completion.
- Prepare, review, and approve drawings, designs, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and relevant codes.
- Supervise site execution, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams for smooth execution.
- Prepare project schedules, monitor timelines, and ensure cost control.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work as per standards.
- Manage procurement of civil materials and verify bills of quantities (BOQ).
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and communicate with management.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Conduct meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to review progress and resolve issues.
- Prepare and present project status reports to clients and management.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Review contractor invoices and recommend payments based on actual work completed.
Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in civil project works.Preferably in construction, repairing and maintenance activities within industrial plants.
