Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Operations to lead our end-to-end ground and tournament operations. This role requires someone with strong leadership, process management, and people skills who can ensure flawless execution of cricket matches, corporate events, and academy programs while scaling operational efficiency across multiple venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Ground & Facility Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of cricket grounds, nets, and facilities.
- Ensure pitch, ground, and floodlight readiness for matches.
- Maintain operational standards for safety, cleanliness, and customer experience.
- Match & Tournament Operations
- Lead execution of tournaments, leagues, and corporate matches.
- Coordinate with umpires, scorers, teams, and vendors for smooth event flow.
- Ensure high-quality player & audience experience.
- Team & Vendor Management
- Build, train, and manage the on-ground operations team (coordinators, ground staff, scorers, helpers, etc.).
- Liaise with vendors for equipment, catering, logistics, and rentals.
- Client & Partner Engagement
- Act as the key operations point of contact for teams, academies, corporates, and associations.
- Handle client escalations with a problem-solving mindset.
- Business & Process Excellence
- Drive operational efficiency through structured SOPs and checklists.
- Monitor KPIs (ground utilization, match execution quality, customer satisfaction, revenue targets).
- Implement technology tools for scheduling, reporting, and feedback tracking.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate in Sports Management / Business Administration / Operations (preferred but not mandatory).
- 5+ years of experience in sports operations, event management, or hospitality.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Passion for cricket and deep understanding of ground/match requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during tournaments and peak schedules.
