Job Description

Shift timings : US Shift Only

Mode of Work : 5 Days WFO from Hyderabad Location (No WFH and No Hybrid)

Position Summary :


The Income supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production and will serve as an escalation point for the team regarding day to day inquiries and requests. This individual will take the lead in monitoring the inflow of Swift messages 564/566/568 related to income events like Dividends, Capital Gains, Interest, Reinvestment, etc. Posting of income from Money Market Securities. Performing Pay day 1 check for future payments. Verifying and processing of unposted income exceptions. Communicating back with the Custodians using MT 565 to check customer preference on income payment. Posting Nostro entries when custodian pays the events under different accounts. Additional responsibilities include escalating critical issues appropriately to all impacted parties, both internal and external, establishing system access, providing systems training and feedback to team members. The supervisor will assist with onboarding and training new team members and will be expected to participate in projects as directed. This individual will be a primary contact for internal and external clients, supporting and assisting in exception & problem resolution with regards to data issues, vendor file delays and system issues. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring all Income processing functions including but not limited to all income event posting and position (OOB) and cash & stock reconciliation, and quality review checks associated with Income processing are completed.


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned) :

  • Maintaining Production, Customer, Quality, Training, Knowledge management documentation and other process audit artifacts.
  • Meeting the expected Levels of Service Delivery Process Turnaround time, Self & Team Productivity, Accuracy, Attendance.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other process related documents intact.
  • Typically manages a team of junior employees and/or offshore teams.
  • Acting Manager during managers absence.
  • Client conversions/migrations/deconversions.
  • Scope within overseeing specific processes within the department.
  • Has the ability to apply independent judgment and decision making within the functional area of his/her expertise.
  • Coaching / Mentoring Process Analysts / Team Members and conducting regular documented one on one feedback.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing for the process within defined buffer and assist in interviewing and recruitment.
  • Identify training needs for the team and work closely with Manager to have the required training sessions organized.
  • Role has high emphasis on daily processing. Will be combined with managing workload and day to day activities of the team.
  • Provides direction and oversight to team of specialists and analysts.
  • Communicates and supports immediate staffing needs, address employee development, performance concerns, and escalates key accomplishments and issues to management regularly.
  • Gives input and coordinates tactical plans, projects, and changes as needed. Other duties as assigned

Domain/Technical Skills:


  • Excellent knowledge of Capital Markets Equities, Fixed Income, Traditional Assets, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Corporate Actions, Money Market Funds.
  • Understanding about Types of Income & Swift Messages.
  • Experience with Market & Data Feed Tools like, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit, etc.
  • Experience with Custodians Applications like DTCC, HSBC, Euroclear, etc
  • Experience of Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) tool.
  • Experience in Process Transitions, creating Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Assessment Tests.
  • Problem solving skills to create workarounds to ensure successful mitigation of risk.
  • Ability to analyze process flows and identify process gaps.
  • Ability to direct the activities of the team in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to manage, organize, and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to follow up and ensure good client service and timely responses.
  • Ability to create standards to follow and to suggest process improvements.
  • Ability to hold team meetings with clear agendas.
  • Ability to objectively manage all employees in team.

Soft Skills:


  • Demonstrate effective communication skills as well as set clear expectations to all clients, service partners, and internal teams both in written and verbal communication.
  • Concise writing skills.
  • Effectively coordinate, manage and complete multiple duties and assignments concurrently and within acceptable timelines.
  • Ability to learn and become an expert in field.
  • Representing the team in communication with other teams.

Essential Qualification and Work Experience:


  • Graduate degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience.
