Power BI Developer @ Thales

Job Description

• The BI developer will be responsible for the support and deployment of BI solutions using PowerBI or any other analytics tool and to provide guidance and support in implementing strategic automated reports.
• The role requires complete comprehension of enterprise data models and utilization of both relational and dimensional data sources.
• This person will design and develop customized reports and dashboards that deliver benefit and actionable information in an agile and efficient way.
• Work closely with the IT teams to design and deliver reporting and analytical solutions that satisfy business and technical requirements
• Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources (Excel, and ERPs: SAGE, SAP, Primavera ) into PowerBI
• Provide architectural insight to business users through evaluation and recommendation
• Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality

• Have 4+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, professional and technical experience required
• Experience in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
• Strong understanding of database management systems, analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
• Experience with database design concepts, middleware concepts, user interface development, and information security engineering & access controls Knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Experience with Microsoft Azure Datalake, Azure SQL Database and Azure Analysis Services
• 3+ years of relevant work experience building dashboards and reports in PowerBI
• Experience working on Power Query, DAX and Power BI Services
