Job Description

Duties to Be Performed:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer Cleanroom with extensive experience in the design, execution, and validation of cleanroom facilities across industrial and life science sectors, such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and biotechnology environments. This role requires cross-functional coordination, design optimization, and end-to-end project leadership from conceptual development through construction and qualification.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the engineering design and specification of cleanroom systems including HVAC, filtration, pressure zoning, and environmental control.
  • Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, Civil, MEP, Process, Validation) to ensure compliance with ISO classifications and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, BOQs, cleanroom layouts, and airflow diagrams.
  • Supervise installation, commissioning, and qualification of cleanroom systems.
  • Ensure projects meet GMP, FDA, ISO, and other cleanroom regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis, and ensure adherence to EHSS protocols.
  • Support in preparing tender documents, technical specifications, and cleanroom performance validation protocols.

Job / Skills Requirement:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in cleanroom engineering for life science or semiconductor facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644, GMP Grade AD), airflow design, HEPA filtration, and environmental controls.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom standards (FDA, EU GMP Annex 1, ISO 14644).
  • Hands-on experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and cleanroom simulation software.
  • Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight deadlines.
  • Willing to travel and relocate based on project needs.
