Job Description
Compensation: 2,25,000 - 4,00,000 annually.
Location: Remote - Must have a quiet, dedicated workspace.Cinematic Video Editor Are you passionate about story telling? Are you passionate about transforming raw ideas into compelling stories, and the skill to stitch moments that captivate an audience? Can you make people think and feel real emotions? Can you craft stories that stir curiosity, humor, anger, frustration, or lovestories that linger in the mind long after the final word is read?
Were looking for a brilliant Editor who can create compelling narratives for long-format YouTube videos, shorts, and reels that emotionally hook and intellectually engage audiences and make them go: Damn. I never thought of that. Although we are making content for YouTube, we want to be different by giving our videos a cinematic touch that tells moving stories.
Are you intelligent, articulate, and detail-oriented? Are you passionate about all the subtleties of video production that separate an average editor from a masterful editor? To be more specific, do you understand the power of silence or nonverbal communication? Or the importance of how you use timing, color grading, lighting, music, sound effects, video effects, etc.? If so, IBY wants you on our team.
In this role, you will collaborate with leadership and team members to transform concepts into polished videos that support our brand and storytelling initiatives. Your work will help communicate our mission, connect with our audience, and drive real results.

This is a fully remote role. You will be required to work from 6:30PM IST to 3:30AM IST (Mon - Fri).
What You'll Do:
- Edit videos for YouTube, social media, marketing campaigns, and internal projects (long-form & short-form).
- Turn raw ideas, scripts, or recorded material into compelling, polished content.
- Leverage AI to be more productive and produce higher-quality content.
- Add captions, text overlays, sound effects, and music to enhance viewer engagement.
- Collaborate with our creative and storytelling team to bring scripts to life.
- Maintain consistency in brand style, tone, and storytelling across all content.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Optimize long-form YouTube videos for multiple platforms (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, etc.).
- Stay updated on editing trends, social media styles, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Strong video editing skills with proficiency in tools like Premiere Pro, Filmora, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong eye for detail, pacing, storytelling, and editing for emotion and retention.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to bring creative ideas to the table.
- Comfortable with technology, new software, and Artificial Intelligence tools.
- No prior professional experience requiredas long as you are talented and can do the work.
- Understanding of social media trends, YouTube best practices, and modern video aesthetics.
- Intelligent and quick to learn new concepts.
- Strong verbal communication skills; must be able to speak English clearly and communicate effectively with management and team members.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a passion for structure and efficiency.
- Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly to feedback.
- A collaborative team player who contributes to a positive, supportive work environment.
- Graphic design skills are not requiredbut if you have them, theyre a valuable plus.
