The RoleWithin our Database Administration team at Kyndryl, you'll be a master of managing and administering the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You'll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations. Your expertise will be crucial in configuring, installing and maintaining database management systems, ensuring that our systems are always running at peak performance. You'll also be responsible for managing user access, implementing the highest standards of security to protect our valuable data from unauthorized access.
Responsibility Includes:
- Familiar the different editions of SQL Server and can advise on when to use each to optimize.
- Strong backup/recovery, including replication/failover, tuning and troubleshooting knowledge of SQL Server.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Establish and maintain backup and recovery policy and procedures.
- Provide proactive monitoring and performance tuning including physical server level, database level, and query tuning.
- Create users and assign permissions based on authorized level of access.
- Provide L3-level representation for DBA team to account leadership, clients, application owners, and infrastructure teams.
- Represent SQL Server Database Administration team in Disaster Recovery and project activities.
- Share technical expertise providing technical mentorship and cross training to other team members
- Work with system administrators, architects, development teams, and business application owners to ensure database changes are in-line with operational standards and the strategies needed to scale.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to administer as well as troubleshoot live issues both internal as well as customer reported.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
- Create and execute scripts to perform needed system functions.
- Database server administration ( MS-SQL) and team management.
- Handle regular day to day IT Infra operations.
- Working on Service Desk tickets.
- Coordinating with IT stake holders to fix the issues.
- Participate in internal/external audits to showcase the IT compliance status.
- Perform the IT related task and update the status higher management on regularly.
- Participating in Day/Weekly status review meetings
- Experience in Operating Systems tuning and configurations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI).
Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum of 4+ years of overall experience in IT Database Domain with proven experience in Database Operations.
- Database MS-SQL Server Administration, Database Installation, Database Environment, Client Meetings, External Audit, .
- Certification would be added advantage.
- Location: Bangalore-Koramanagala
- Willing to work in Shifts 24*7 on rotational basis from Client location.
