Job Description
- As a Consultant in Internal Audit & SOX at Genpact, you will play a crucial role in handling IA / SOX engagements. Your responsibilities will include leading client engagements related to governance, risk & compliance (GRC), Internal Audits, process reviews, standard operating procedures & Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 assessments. You will collaborate as part of a team executing projects for various clients across different industries. Experienced professionals will also have the opportunity to independently manage projects under the direct supervision of a Manager. In this role, you will determine audit procedures required to achieve the desired audit results, draft original work programs, and perform audit tasks professionally in line with approved work programs. Your duties will involve obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating evidentiary data to form an objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of control systems. You will assess whether the areas reviewed are adhering to control activities in compliance with relevant policies and procedures, aligned with organizational objectives and best administrative practices. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reporting audit findings and providing recommendations for addressing control deficiencies, operational enhancements, and cost reductions. We are seeking individuals with a postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or CA, with additional certifications like CFE, CIA, or CISA considered a plus. The ideal candidate will possess robust interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills at all levels, along with exceptional written and presentational abilities to convey complex messages effectively to diverse audiences. Integrity, confidentiality, and strong written communication skills are essential, including documenting findings and recommendations. The role requires the ability to conduct compliance, operational, and financial audits independently, from planning to reporting stages, demonstrating proficiency in audit programs, test work, and report drafting. Moreover, strong planning and organizational capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of the risk, audit, and controllership domain, and proficiency in PC tools like Word, Excel, and Visio are desired. A willingness to travel for client projects, dedicating approximately 25% of your time to travel, is also essential for this role.
