Job Description
- 3+years of experience in application support role.
- Work with team on planning, development and delivery of specified information and communications systems services and products.
- Monitors the performance of Production/UAT/Stage applications and takes corrective actions where necessary
- Monitors performance of overall infrastructure and takes corrective action where necessary.
- Responsible for the maintenance, testing, and execution of the business continuity plans (BCPs).
- Identifies trends and root causes of problems and implement necessary remediation and process improvement. Document the RCA
- Proficiency in the application of technical knowledge to solve information system-related business problems
- Good understanding of engineering methodologies, information systems guidelines and architectures, information systems technologies (distributed)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Front-end experience, build/install/deployment is desired
- Willing to work globally, with remote colleagues and managers in all shifts
- Should have experience in the area of application support at L1 or L2
- Should have a good understanding of how Web and Desktop applications work
- Exposure to Web (IIS), SQL and Application Servers (Windows Services, scheduling jobs, etc.)
- Knowledge on SQL server, Deployments, basic knowledge on Active directory, Basic network concepts, Knowledge of power shell, FTP and Windows servers 2012 and MS Visio
- Basic knowledge on AppDynamics, SCOM, Internal alerting system (scripting through power shell)
- Hands on experience with ticketing tool preferably Service First
- Should have hands-on experience on application monitoring tools and should be able to initiate remediation based on early warnings
- Ensure the responsibilities of Information Security
- IT Service Management certifications like ITIL/ITSM will be added advantage.
- Azure and DevOps hands on experience would be added Advantage
- Strong customer service and support focus with a desire to deliver a high-quality service
- Self-motivated and highly professional with ability to take on responsibility
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A desire to learn and improve skills and knowledge
- Fast learner, energetic and enthusiastic
- Adaptable and flexible to business demands
