Job Description
About the Role:We are seeking a dynamic and trend-savvy Design Lead associate to lead and drive our Mens Casual wear category. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the Casual menswear market, and hands-on experience across the end-to-end design process from research to execution. Youll play a key role in building a product line that resonates with todays consumers while staying aligned with our brands creative and commercial direction.
Key Responsibilities:- Trend & Market Research:Identify seasonal macro/micro trends, consumer insights, and emerging design directions across global and local markets.
- Design Development:Conceptualize and design of seasonal menswear collections (shirts, bottoms, jackets, etc.) ensuring relevance, innovation, and commercial viability.
- Product Strategy:Work closely with buying, Sourcing, and product development teams to build a well-balanced, profitable range that aligns with pricing and margin targets.
- Tech Pack & Development:
- Ensure detailed and clear tech packs, fabric selections, trims, and wash directions are created in collaboration with technical teams.
- Fit & Sample Reviews:Oversee fit sessions and sampling, working closely with the tech team to ensure design intent is realized in final products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with sourcing, buying & tech to bring collections to life in line with timelines and brand stories.
- Should be able to handle & design reasonable quantum , when it comes to design with clear POV.
- Graduate from Fashion Design , experienced in Retail & Exports preferred .
- 47 years of hands-on design experience in Mens Casualwear (shirts, bottoms, outerwear preferred) along with Graphic knowledge.
- Strong aesthetic sense with an understanding of shape, fabric, color, and construction.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and tech pack creation.
- Deep understanding of fits, garment construction, and men's casual wear market trends.
- Strong communication, time management, and team collaboration skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating commercial and creative design work across mens woven categories.
