Job Description
What You'll DoWe are looking for a strategic Senior Financial Analyst to support our Revenue and Bookings planning process. You will report to the Finance Manager GTM and serve as an important business-partner, providing financial insight, forecasting, reporting, and decision support to lead Avalara's revenue growth. You are experienced in supporting Revenue and Bookings planning and analysis preferably within a SAAS-based company. You will be Pune and will work with a Finance Team and GTM Team that is in multiple countries.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Partner within Revenue Finance team to develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts through creation and updating of Revenue and Bookings Models.
- Work with large amounts of Subscription data to provide insights into trends
- Collaborate with Accounting and Systems teams to improve revenue waterfalls and enhance data accuracy.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support
- Collaborate with team to build reporting and provide trends on Bookings to Billings to Revenue projects.
What You'll Need to be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A with a focus on Sales or Marketing
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modelling
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Net Suite, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Salesforce)
- Eye-to-detail. Interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights.
- Collaborate with multi teams and partners, and present findings.
- You will manage all priorities and in a growing environment.
- Work as an individual contributor and as part of a team
