Job Description
- Teaching: Developing and delivering engaging mathematics courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Curriculum Development: Creating and updating course materials and curriculum to reflect current advancements in the field.
- Research: Conducting original research in mathematics or related fields, and publishing findings in academic journals.
- Mentoring: Advising and mentoring students on academic and career paths related to mathematics.
- Assessment: Evaluating student performance through exams, projects, and assignments.
- Departmental Contributions: Participating in departmental meetings, committees, and collaborative initiatives.
- Ph.D. or masters in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- Proven track record of research and scholarly publications.
- Strong teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A mathematics professor typically teaches undergraduate and/or graduate courses, conducts research, mentors students, and contributes to the academic community.
