What You'll Do
We are looking for a Specialist to join the Property Tax Compliance team, focusing on handling complex compliance tasks, resolving escalations, and driving process improvements. This role involves expertise in multi-jurisdictional compliance, advanced problem-solving skills, and contributing to the teams strategic objectives.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Resolve escalations related to multi-jurisdictional property tax compliance cases.
- Handle high-complexity compliance tasks, including preparing and reviewing challenging tax returns.
- Identify and drive automation initiatives to improve workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance issues and implement best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to team members on complex compliance scenarios.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.
- Ensure deadlines and service-level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
What You'll Need to be Successful
- 5+ years of experience in property tax compliance or a related field, with expertise in multi-jurisdictional compliance processes.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Strong knowledge of property tax compliance requirements and multi-jurisdictional regulations.
- Proficiency in tools and systems for tax compliance, such as Avalara Property Tax (APT).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
- Experience with SaaS-based tax solutions or workflow automation tools.
- Knowledge of jurisdiction-specific compliance challenges and regulations.
- Exposure to managing escalations and complex tax compliance issues.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
