Job description Automation NetworkingExpertise in working with Ansible or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new programming languagesDocumented skills in translating automation concepts to consistent, reliable scripts using an industry accepted scripting language (Ansible/Python preferred)History of projects involving engineering design work, especially projects involving tailored solutions to meet specific infrastructure automation process needsAble to recognize and identify enterprise affecting issues to inform both automation design and operationsSkilled in conceptualizing script structure and design to meet operational needsExtensive development background, particularly for supporting, maintaining and engineering infrastructure technology adjacent solutionsFamiliarity with SCM and SDLC principlesExperience with version control best practicesFamiliar with both Waterfall and Agile methodologiesExperience with containers and virtual environments preferredComfortable identifying, verifying, vetting and testing hardware/software requirements for proposed automation and orchestrations solutionsAbility to guide and empower infrastructure engineers seeking to explore, identify and expand automated solutions developed within their teamPossesses a broad understanding of infrastructure devices, protocols, functionalities and operations. Experience working with infrastructure standards at an enterprise levelAbility to lead confidentially and effectively when faced with new or unknown automation challengesFrequently anticipates problems in both the automation and infrastructure spaces and analyzes ways to mitigate the riskFamiliarity with risk management and MRA processes preferredAbility to write and execute test plans for Automation testingQuantifies and articulates the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information Comfortable with conducting and understanding data analysisProvides effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogueDocuments, presents, and executes medium-to large-scale projects with minimal supervisionEffectively able to communicate technical data both granularly and at a higher levelPrevious experience in tracking work efforts through Kanban, Jira, ADO or other story tracking development softwareIs often consulted by peers and seen as the informal leader on tactical problemsAble to self-direct individual work effectively while maintaining cooperative attitude in conjunction with team and organization goalsComfortable managing context switching between multiple effortsPerform orchestration platform provisioning, administration, monitoring and troubleshootingMaintains current professional and technical skillsMUST HAVESNetwork Automation, Python, Ansible, Restful API's, GIT, ADONice to HavesServiceNow, Routing/Switching, network fundamentals, IP addressingRemains aware of current and emerging technologies, how they integrate and drive value for Client
