Job Description
- You are a highly motivated and experienced Shopify Testing Engineer looking to join Mouritech's growing team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and reliability of Shopify e-commerce solutions for clients, working closely with developers, designers, and project managers to identify and resolve defects, thus providing a seamless and positive user experience. As a Shopify Testing Engineer at Mouritech, your key responsibilities will include developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements, performing various types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing of Shopify stores and applications. You will be expected to identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems like Jira, collaborate with developers to resolve defects, and participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings. Moreover, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks, analyze test results, and provide clear reports to stakeholders. It is essential to stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features and best practices, contribute to the improvement of testing processes, work on third-party app integrations for seamless functionality, perform API testing using tools like Postman, ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, and participate in code reviews providing constructive feedback. To qualify for this role, you should have 3-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on e-commerce platforms, a strong understanding of the Shopify platform and its ecosystem, proven experience in testing Shopify themes, apps, and customizations, as well as proficiency in writing clear, concise, and well-documented test cases. Additionally, experience with bug tracking systems, automated testing tools and frameworks, API testing, and strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is also necessary.
