Job Description

Role: SD WAN Engineer

Exp:5+ Years

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Network Engineer with hands-on expertise in SD-WAN technologies (preferably Cisco Viptela, Silver Peak, or Aruba), strong command over Cisco networking devices, and solid understanding of enterprise firewall solutions. The ideal candidate should be able to design, deploy, and support WAN/LAN environments and troubleshoot complex networking issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela / Silver Peak / Aruba).
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Routers (ISR/ASR series), Switches (Catalyst/Nexus).
• Maintain and configure enterprise Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
• Perform network monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Work closely with internal teams and vendors for network upgrades and changes.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity and performance issues.
• Document network configurations, topologies, and support procedures.
• Ensure network security and compliance with enterprise policies.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in enterprise networking.
• Strong hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies:
• Cisco Viptela (vEdge, vBond, vSmart)
• Silver Peak / Aruba EdgeConnect
• Solid understanding and experience with Cisco switches/routers.
• Experience in configuring and managing firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
• Familiarity with network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, IPSEC, QoS, NAT, etc.).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities.
  

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

• CCNA / CCNP (Routing & Switching / Security / Enterprise)
• Aruba Certified Network Professional (ACNP)
• Cisco SD-WAN Specialist
• Silver Peak SD-WAN Certification
  

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Cloud Networking (AWS / Azure / GCP networking basics).
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting for network automation).
• Understanding of Zero Trust Security models.
