Software Engineer III @ Guidewire Software

Job Description

We are looking for self-motivated engineers to design and implement AI applications that help Guidewire deliver the Insurance Platform to customers with quality.

• Operate as a start-up within a highly influential InsureTech company
• Actively contribute to the architecture and design of the product
• Develop and ship scalable and cloud native software systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify agent use cases and bring them to life in real-world applications
• Build and evolve AI agents that use large language models (LLMs) and tools to automate complex tasks
• Integrate LLMs into systems that support multi-step reasoning, action planning, and tool usage
• Monitor and improve agent performance, reliability, and safety in production

• 4+ years of software development experience using Python, Java, or similar languages
• 2 years hands-on experience with AI application development, especially with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, Hugging Face)

• Understanding of agentic system design, including planning, tool integration, memory, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel)
• Comfortable working in an iterative, fast-paced environment with cross-functional collaboration
• B-Tech/ M-Tech degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
