Job Description

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our R&D team based in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will contribute to advancing the field of industrial automation and robotics, particularly focusing on Soft Robotics. Your responsibilities will include designing and validating actuation systems, performing CAM and fabrication of custom parts, developing software tools for structural systems, and publishing research findings in relevant journals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical engineering, experience in CNC manufacturing, and a PhD in a related field. You should also have at least 1 year of experience in computational modeling of structural mechanics, proficiency in operating CNC milling machines, and familiarity with general lab-scale workshop tools. Key responsibilities include designing and validating actuation systems, performing CAM and fabrication of custom parts, developing software tools for modeling complex structural systems, and publishing research findings in related journals. The successful candidate should have a BTech/MTech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, a PhD on a related topic, and at least 1 year of experience in computational modeling of structural mechanics. Proficiency in operating CNC milling machines, knowledge of CAD, CAM, and GD&T with a focus on subtractive machining, fluency in C/C++, CUDA, and MATLAB, understanding of structural FEA fundamentals, experience in rapid prototyping via additive manufacturing, and familiarity with Linux environments are also required. This is a 1-year tenure position with the possibility of extension to 2 years.,
