Senior Backend Developer
Retail Department ( POS - Point of Sale Systems )
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of major product features for our retail platform. The role provides the opportunity to work across diverse technology stacks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to high-impact solutions from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of backend features, from design to production release.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and fellow developers to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and product demos.
- Uphold coding standards, best practices, and maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Continuously expand technical expertise and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.
- Stay adaptable and eager to learn new technologies, with the potential to grow into a full-stack role.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 45 years of relevant backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture with the ability to design and implement components independently.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of REST API design patterns.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database development.
- Exposure to retail systems, point-of-sale systems, or e-commerce platforms is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Redis is a plus.
- Knowledge of gRPC and AWS services (EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, AppSync, API Gateway) is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, source control tools (GitHub, GitLab), build processes, testing, and monitoring.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
