Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
A highly skilled and hands-on QA Lead with strong experience in test automation using Playwright or Cypress or any other automation platform.
Lead the QA strategy, planning, and execution across squads.
Should be skilled to develop test plan, coverage and responsible for test case quality across the entire Squad and should be able to identify all test scenarios during the grooming phases
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python).
Perform hands-on testing (manual and automated) for web applications
Should be able to review and make all necessary changes on regression packs for any new feature release
Should have automation first mind set and be able to identify and define roadmaps for test cases to be automated
This role requires a balance of leadership, technical expertise, hands on experience to write test cases, automation scripts and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
Analyze test results, identify bugs, and ensure timely resolution.
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the automation framework.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in a QA lead role.
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation or any other leading platforms.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Optional Skills
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus.
Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
