We are seeking an experienced and proactive DevOps Engineer with 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in automating and optimizing our software development, deployment, and infrastructure processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and IT operations, to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of software products.
Responsibilities
In this role, you would be responsible for?
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Infrastructure Automation: Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure.
- Configuration Management: Implement configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to automate the setup and maintenance of servers and applications.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues and system outages.
- Containerization: Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to enable efficient application deployment and scaling.
- Security: Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle and ensure the security of infrastructure and applications.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements and provide DevOps support throughout the development lifecycle.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure and applications and optimize system performance for better efficiency and scalability.
- Disaster Recovery and Backup: Design and implement disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and system resilience.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications we seek in you
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a DevOps Engineer with 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience.
- Must have AWS Professional-Level Certification
- Experience documenting technical requirements.
- Proficient at multitasking and proactive in work responsibilities.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell, or Bash).
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and repository management tools.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in microservices architecture and serverless frameworks.
- Familiarity with security tools and practices for DevSecOps implementation.
- Relevant certifications in DevOps or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
