Role Overview
We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Engineer (Level 3) to join our product engineering team focused on delivering full-stack enhancements and new features for our lending platform. This role is integral to expanding our reach to new customer segments, driving business growth, and optimizing our core lending products. Youll be responsible for building, integrating, optimizing, and automating business-critical servicesranging from customer-facing apps and underwriting to payments, operations tools, and platform infrastructure. All engineering roles at GAIN Credit are expected to operationalize GenAI and other AI tools for improved productivity, code quality, and automationthis is part of how we raise the bar and accelerate our technology outcomes.
Oh, the things youll do :
- Take ownership of medium-to-large, complex full-stack development projects delivering new features, integrations, optimizations, and platform improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business, product, and operations to define requirements and deliver measurable value.
- Build and enhance consumer-facing web/mobile applications, core lending and payments services, and business process automation.
- Implement robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions using modern software practices and cloud-native platforms.
- Contribute to and advocate for a culture of high code quality, frequent testing, automation, and documentation.
- Regularly use GenAI/AI tools to improve day-to-day engineering efficiency, including code generation, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Identify and drive technical/process improvements that enable faster delivery and higher system reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct peer reviews, and lead by example in quality and ownership.
What you bring to the table
- 4-6 Years of proven hands-on experience with full-stack development (frontend and backend), ideally using Python, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and tools as needed (not restricted to any one stack).
- Strong foundation in system design, cloud-native architectures, APIs, databases (relational and NoSQL), and containerization (e.g., Docker).
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring/observability, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience in designing for scale, security, maintainability, and compliance in a regulated environment (financial services preferred).
