Job Description
Hook-up & Commissioning Engineer Offshore Oil & Gas
Experience Required: 510 years Location: Offshore / Project Site Employment Type: [Full-time / Contract] Industry: Oil & Gas / Energy / EPC
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution
- Lead and coordinate hook-up and commissioning activities for offshore installations.
- Prepare and execute detailed work packs, commissioning procedures, and execution plans.
- Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Team Coordination
- Interface with PMT, client representatives, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure readiness of materials, tools, labor, and equipment for offshore campaigns.
- Oversee vessel operations including jack-ups, workboats, and support vessels.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all activities comply with HSE standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily progress reports and commissioning logs.
- Support job card approvals, punch list clearance, and handover documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field)
- 510 years of offshore experience in hook-up and commissioning roles
- Strong understanding of offshore systems, standards, and commissioning practices
- Proven leadership in managing multicultural teams
- Proficient in MS Office and commissioning software tools
- Fluent in English; excellent communication and coordination skills
Preferred Certifications
- BOSIET / HUET Offshore Safety Training
- ISO / API Standards Familiarity
- HSE Certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)
