Job Description
- As a Functional Testing professional with over 3 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of new and existing features. Your responsibilities will include analyzing business and technical requirements to develop detailed test cases, conducting regression, exploratory, and functional tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify risks and enhance test coverage. You will be expected to perform API testing using tools like Postman, validate request/response structures, and participate actively in Agile ceremonies to contribute to the overall testing strategy. Additionally, you will need to log, prioritize, and track defects using bug tracking systems such as JIRA, validate bug fixes, and conduct thorough regression testing before each release. Moreover, as a functional automation tester, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into clear and maintainable test cases, executing functional, regression, and exploratory tests across various systems, and creating automation test suites using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, and Cucumber. Integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and database testing to ensure backend data integrity will also be part of your key responsibilities. In addition to testing skills, you must possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with version control systems like Git, exposure to performance or security testing tools, and familiarity with Docker or cloud-based test environments would be considered advantageous for this role. Overall, your role as a Functional Testing professional will be vital in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing practices and continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.,
