Job Description
- The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role where you will be responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will be required to have a strong knowledge in Big data, Hadoop, or Cloud Era, proficiency in Programming Language in spark or scala, and it would be beneficial to have working knowledge in Kafka API. Additionally, you will consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems. You will apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications, analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging. Furthermore, you will serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions. You will resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents. You should be able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. In terms of qualifications, you should have 4-6 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry, intermediate-level experience in an Applications Development role, demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication, possess problem-solving and decision-making skills, and have the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
