About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our growing quality team focused on delivering a seamless and reliable food ordering experience at events and venues. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality across web and mobile platforms (iOS/Android) validating POS interfaces, payment flows, ordering journeys, and backend APIs.
This role involves a strong focus on manual testing, complemented with basic automation efforts, and integration with Jira and AIO Test (preferred) for tracking and traceability.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing
- Understand business workflows around food ordering in event/venue setups (multi-store, menu variation, real-time order routing).
- Prepare and execute detailed test cases, exploratory tests, and user scenarios based on acceptance criteria.
- Validate key modules like: Customer ordering flow (menu selection, add-ons, cart) POS flow (order sync, updates, cancellations), Payment gateway integrations, Discount/offers and loyalty point logic, Backend order management dashboards
- Device compatibility (mobile/tablet POS terminals)
Automation (Basic)
- Maintain or contribute to a small automation suite for regression testing (e.g., smoke tests on login, ordering, and reports).
- Support QA team in evaluating test coverage gaps and proposing scripts for critical flows using tools like Postman (API automation) or Selenium/Appium (if applicable).
- Test Management and Reporting
- Write, manage, and review test cases in AIO Tests (added advantage).
- Actively use Jira for: Creating bugs with detailed reproduction steps and logs, Linking bugs to user stories and test cases, Coordinating with developers and product managers during sprint cycles
Collaboration & Agile Process
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with developers, PMs, and release managers to ensure test readiness and timely feedback.
- Own release sign-offs ensuring no critical defects go to production.
Quality Leadership
- Drive continuous improvements in QA processes.
- Mentor junior testers when needed.
- Suggest and implement risk-based testing, early test involvement, and test data management strategies.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience in QA testing (manual first, automation a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Jira and ideally AIO Tests
- Experience with testing POS/order management systems, preferably in the F&B or event domain
- Strong knowledge of test case writing, bug reporting, test execution, and end-to-end testing
- Good understanding of mobile testing (Android/iOS) and cross-browser testing
- Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Knowledge of basic SQL and backend validation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Good to Have
- Experience in F&B, venue ordering, or large-scale event-based systems
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and basic scripting
- Experience with analytics/event tracking validation (Google Analytics, Firebase, Segment)
- Tools You'll Use

- BrowserStack/TestRail (for device/browser compatibility)
- Git (for reviewing release tags or automation scripts)
- Slack, Zoom, Confluence (collaboration and documentation)
