Job Description

Department/Division: - OT, Nursing Services

Job content: -

Duties: -

Patient care; checking vitals of patients; assisting the doctors while on Surgery; carrying out and following Doctor's orders.

Maintaining and updating nurse's notes and other charts and registers; obtaining lab samples; counselling and psychological support to patients.

Giving pre medication as instructed

Preparing the OT for Surgery; keeping OT neat and safe; maintain personal hygiene and comfort of patient.

Shifting of patient to ward/ICU after surgery & proper handing over of the patient to Floor Sisters.

Booking of patient for surgery; checking the OT list;

Prepare check list of instruments before and after surgery; shifting the patient to the respective theatre;

Helps the working of staff during preoperative preparation of patients; sending the instrument and other accessories to CSSD.

Any other additional responsibilities entrusted by the management time to time-

JOB SPECIFICATION

Knowledge required: - Must have good technical and theoretical knowledge of OT procedures, must have good knowledge of handling and operating equipments.

Require skills: -Require good communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess monitoring, guiding and coordinating capacity. Maintain discipline at work, must be able to motivate. Good understanding of operating OT equipments

Education, experience and formal training: - Must be a GNM/BSc Nursing with at least 3 years of experience.
