Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer with hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing of web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing test plans, executing test cases, identifying bugs, and contributing to the development of robust automation scripts to ensure a high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Execute manual functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, or equivalent tools.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries or tools like pgAdmin, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Log detailed, reproducible defects using JIRA, and track them through closure.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps for test coverage and release readiness.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives.
- Contribute to test automation framework enhancements and test coverage expansion.
- Perform cross-browser, cross-device, and UI/UX validation using tools like Chrome DevTools or Lighthouse.
- Support UAT, production deployments, and post-release validation.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in manual testing (web/mobile).
- 1+ years of experience in automation testing using Selenium (Java/Python).
- Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile methodology.
- Strong knowledge of API testing, Postman, REST APIs.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Good command over SQL for backend validation.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools, Git, and Jenkins is a plus.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
