Job Opportunity: QA Engineer- Performance & ETL Testing
Location: Pune
Experience: 4-5 Years
Payroll: SAGEIT
Client Deployment: Long-term project
- Role Overview:
- We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong experience in performance and automation testing, especially within DataBricks and Big Data environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in tuning and optimizing performance in distributed systems, automation scripting, and end-to-end validation of data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement performance testing strategies using JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Leverage Spark UI and other profiling tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization for Spark jobs and big data pipelines.
- Work with DataBricks components, focusing on compaction processes, clustering, and partitioning strategies to enhance performance.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python for testing and validation.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation and performance checks.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and data engineering teams to validate performance benchmarks and automate regression suites.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with DataBricks and Apache Spark ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of clustering, partitioning, and compaction techniques in big data.
- Proficient in Python scripting for test automation and utilities.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and performance analysis.
- Practical experience with performance testing tools JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with Spark UI and other monitoring tools for performance debugging.
- Experience in tuning and optimizing large-scale distributed systems.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
- Previous experience in Telecom or large-scale data projects.
