Data Tester
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Data Tester to validate data accuracy and integrity across data warehouses, data integrations, and the curated business-ready layer.
Key Responsibilities:
Test the data warehouse and ensure accurate data integration across various data sources.
Validate the Business-Ready dataset (BRD), ensuring data is curated correctly for business use.
Develop and execute test cases to ensure data consistency and integrity in ETL/ELT processes.
Test data models and verify that data flows seamlessly through the data warehouse to the analytical layer.
Perform end-to-end testing for data integrations, ensuring compliance with business rules and transformation logic.
Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to define testing strategies and resolve defects.
Conduct performance testing to ensure the scalability and efficiency of data pipelines.
Automate data validation and regression tests using relevant tools and frameworks.
Document and report test results, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in data warehouse testing, validating ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks for data quality and integration.
Knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data in GBQ or other cloud-based platforms.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying and resolving data issues.
Excellent collaboration skills to work with data engineers, analysts, and business teams.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Airflow for pipeline orchestration and Python for automating test cases.
Experience with metadata management and data governance processes.
Any other automation tools
