Job Description
As a Network Security (Technical Assistance Center - TAC) Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for complex network and security issues. Youll work with clients or internal teams to ensure the security and integrity of computer networks, supporting both routine maintenance and emergency response in high-pressure environments.
Job Brief:
- 1 to 2 years of expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers, and monitoring applications.
- Knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an understanding of how to support these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances.
- Understanding and implementation of network traffic analysis, remote access methods and systems, stateful inspection firewalls, encryption, authentication and authorization technology.
- Hands-on technical experience working with VPN technologies (IPSEC, SSL VPN, WebVPN, AnyConnect, DMVPN, etc.). -Strong experience in Routing & Switching (OSPF / BGP / VLAN / STP)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of large-scale network infrastructure.
- Expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, monitoring applications, wireless access points and controllers.
- Knowledge on application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), Knowledge on supporting these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances.
- Should understand the implementations of network traffic analysis, remote access methods, systems, stateful inspection of firewalls, encryption, authentication and authorization technology.
- Experience in a fast -paced support environment in a large enterprise network as a member of a 24/7 network and/or security operations team.
