Designation: Senior System Engineer
Project: Splunk
Job Location: Bangalore (Work from Office)
Shift: Rotational
Job Duties:
- Installing updates and patches on the Splunk platform to ensure it is running smoothly
- Monitoring system performance and capacity to ensure that it can handle the workload of the entire organization
- Configuring new data inputs to allow the collection of new data types or formats
- Creating alerts and notifications to notify stakeholders of unusual activity such as security breaches or system failures
- Maintaining documentation of all configurations and changes to the system
- Performing basic troubleshooting when issues occur with the system to identify the cause
- Analyzing data in order to identify patterns, trends, or other useful information
- Providing support to users who are having problems with the system or using it incorrectly
- Auditing and reviewing security practices to prevent security incidents, such as data breaches, denial of service attacks, or malware infections
Job Requirements:
Training & Experience: Most of the training for this role happens on the job. You will learn the specific systems and processes of the company you work for, as well as the preferred methods and tools. You may also receive training in the companys preferred methodologies and procedures.
Communication skills: You may be required to communicate with other IT professionals, management and other non-technical staff. Effective communication skills can help you convey information to others in a way they can understand. It can also help you listen to and understand the needs of others.
Problem-solving skills: As a Splunk administrator, you might be responsible for troubleshooting issues with the software or the server its installed on. You might also be responsible for finding the source of performance issues or data quality problems. Problem-solving skills can help you identify the source of the issue and develop a solution.
Need to sign a service agreement for 18 Months.
