Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Contribute to planning, architecture, and research activities for next-generation SPDM (Simulation Process Data Management) software.
- Perform complex software development tasks, involving deep analysis in areas such as user experience, software design, and solver integration.
- Apply and promote software engineering best practices, including conducting technical reviews and mentoring team members.
- Execute bug verification, release testing, and provide beta support for assigned products. Investigate issues identified by QA or support teams and develop effective solutions.
- Analyze and interpret market requirements, including performance expectations, competitive analysis, and target user environments. Engage with strategic customers or internal proxies to assess needs and develop product enhancements.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision, occasionally taking on mentorship and planning responsibilities.
- May oversee interns or co-ops, providing guidance without formal managerial duties.
- Support internal corporate initiatives aimed at improving the ANSYS SPDM product and enhancing best practices for its configuration and use.
- Collaborate effectively across teams, including sales, product development, project management, and implementation engineers, to align product capabilities with user expectations.
- Work closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to drive feature development and deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production defects, ensuring optimal application performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure consistent code quality.
- Continuously monitor and analyze user behavior and feedback to identify usability improvements and drive product enhancement.
