Job Description
About the Role: As a key member of our technology leadership, we re seeking a skilled Ethical Hacker to assess and test the vulnerabilities in all components of the Academia ecosystem including the Admin Portal, Student Portal, Faculty Portal, Teacher Portal, and Mobile Applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive security testing on Academia ERP platforms (web & mobile)
- Identify, document, and report vulnerabilities in the entire application ecosystem
- Simulate real-world attacks to uncover hidden risks and loopholes
- Collaborate with development teams to recommend secure coding practices
- Perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and source code analysis
- Assist in creating security awareness and best practices across tech teams
- Provide actionable insights aligned with OWASP, NIST, and other industry standards.
Education & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in web application and mobile security testing
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Kali Linux, and Metasploit
- Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common threat vectors
- Experience in testing APIs, role-based access controls, and session management
- Familiarity with GDPR, ISO27001, and data protection protocols is a plus
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and recommend remediation steps
- Certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or comparable credentials are preferred
