Job Description
We are looking for an experienced L3 Operations Engineer with experience of 8 To 15 years to join our EET EPS (Enterprise End-user Technology End Point Services) team. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth expertise in VMware technologies and a strong track record in handling complex operations, upgrades, and troubleshooting within enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support BAU (Business-As-Usual) operations for VMware environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot infrastructure technologies including vSphere, ESXi, Horizon VDI, vRA, vRO, vSAN, Datastores, and Networking.
- Provide L3 support for end-user computing environments and manage upgrade/migration projects.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to maintain system integrity.
- Utilize diagnostic tools like SysTrack, Splunk, Process Monitor, and conduct dump log analysis.
- Automate tasks and reports using PowerShell, PowerCLI, or Python scripting.
- Collaborate with multiple technology teams for incident resolution and infrastructure improvements.
- Track and manage incidents and changes via standard ITIL tools and processes.
Technical Skills Must Have:
- Advanced knowledge of VMware stack: vSphere, Horizon View, vSAN, vRA, vRO, Hypervisors, Clusters, VDI.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across VMware and Microsoft endpoint technologies.
- Proven scripting capabilities in PowerShell / PowerCLI / Python.
- Experience in handling incident triage and change management in large-scale enterprises.
- Familiarity with Managed Print Services, Mobility, Collaboration Tools, and OS-level support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, etc.) are a plus.
- ITIL Foundation or similar certification is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude towards identifying opportunities and driving initiatives.
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams.
