Role & responsibilities
Requirements
- Around 6-10 years of experience in Data Warehousing specialized in ETL.
- Thorough understanding of DWH Concepts.
- Strong experience in DataStage, SQL (Teradata), Unix Scripting, Python and scheduling using Control-M.
- Hands-on experience in DevOps tools and familiar with the CI/CD pipeline.
- Should have proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence and experienced in working in projects that have followed Agile methodologies.
- This individual should be able to design robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions to drive business objectives using both on-prem and google cloud platform (GCP).
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing system development work around ETL, which can include both the development of new function and facilities, and the on-going systems support of live systems.
- Responsible for the documentation, coding, and maintenance of new and existing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes within the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Investigate live systems faults, diagnose problems, and propose and provide solutions.
- Work closely with various teams to design, build, test, deploy and maintain insightful MI reports.
- Interact with local and global business analysts, project managers, technical architects and developers, detailing the design and driving quality end-to-end solutions.
- Support System Acceptance Testing, System Integration and Regression Testing.
- Participate in design workshop, review/ensure the technical design/code structure is technically coherent and future proof and compliance with technology standards and regulatory obligations.
- Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risk, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures, and timely escalate major project risks & issues to service owner.
- Execute test cases and log defects.
- Should be proactive in understanding the existing system, identifying areas for improvement, and taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring timely delivery of tasks
